Rock-a-bye Baby.

Greetings!

I just thought of taking a short break, from my Christmas crafts and do something else. I made this 'Rock-a-bye Baby', to gift someone who is expecting a baby soon. I really loved this project. I thought this looks very cute and of course it's a very clever one. All the credit goes to none other than Jean Greenhowe. This is made from her book 'Making Musical Miniatures'.

Now I will get back to my Christmas crafts. I have been making some quick and easy, and cute Christmas crafts to gift some people. I will be back soon with those......
Till then, Happy Crafting!!

The Snow Family.

Greetings!

I just finished making my next set of holiday dolls, 'The Snow Family'. This is again made from Jean Greenhowe's 'MAKING MUSICAL MINIATURES', but I excluded the musical base. I made the dolls from some old white kitchen towels which I had never used, and did not have any intention to use them in future. These miniature dolls are quite easy and quick to sew. I really enjoyed making these dolls and making the props to take the picture.

The sledge is made out of flat Woden sticks and the presents are made out of cardboard and wrapped with wrapping paper and decorated with ribbon trimmings.

This is a great Christmas gift for someone!
I am quite excited to start my next holiday project.

You all stay warm and cozy, will be back soon with my next project......

Christmas Sleigh.....

Greetings!

Just finished knitting my next Holiday doll, 'Reindeer' from Fiona Gobel's 'TWAS THE KNITS BEFORE CHRISTMAS'. This book features ten knitting projects that have been inspired by the Poem, 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS' by Clement Clarke Moore.

The sleigh is made out of cardboard box and felt. The toys (Christmas gifts) in the sleigh, are knitted from Jean Greenhowe's 'Christmas Special'.
I have lined up many holiday projects to make before Christmas, let's see how things go.

Will be back soon........
Have a fantastic week!!

Christmas Morning..

Greetings!

It might be early For some people but, I started making some Christmas dolls. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Love to see all those Christmas decorations, in the Malls and in front of people's houses. Also love to hear those Christmas songs. Every year I visit some shops to see the Christmas dolls, I get inspired and motivated to make more and more Christmas dolls. Not to mention about watching all those Christmas movies, 'Love Actually' and 'Elf' are my all time favorite Christmas movies. Also knitting under a cozy blanket is always fun 😉.

Here is a miniature version of a little Victorian girl unwrapping her Christmas presents, made from the book called 'Making Musical Miniatures' by Jean Greenhowe. Unfortunately these books are out of print but I found this book luckily in my local library.

Jean Greenhowe has written many other books, before she started publishing books of knitted dolls. As usual her creations and ideas are always amazing. I have excluded the musical base.

Other than the Christmas tree, everything is hand made. The doll's house is made out of cardboard, the doll in the box, is just a tiny bead wrapped with scraps of fabric. The gift parcels are all made out of cardboard, for the wrapping I have used some chocolate wrappers. The girl is wearing pantaloons underneath her dress skirt. The table is made out of a lid of an empty container, which is covered with some scrapes of fabric. I glued on some beads to decorate the Christmas tree. Basically most of the things in this picture are made out of the junk that I have collected.
Like Boxstrolls, I like to convert junk into treasure 😝😜😛.

Now I have to get back to my knitting.
See you soon!
