Pop-up greeting card

Greetings,
I tried a new craft this week and it's a pop-up card. I was planning to try this from a long time. The pictures are taken from Beatrix Potter's 'The tale of Mrs. Tiggy-winkle'. The front of the card shows Lucie looking for her lost handkerchiefs and pinafore, and the inside shows Mrs. Tiggy-winkle busy with her washing and ironing in her kitchen.
I love Mrs. Tiggy-winkle's character. Although many of Beatrix Potter's story book animals were based on her own pets, she often gave them human qualities too. The character of Mrs. Tiggy Winkle was inspired by Kitty McDonald, an old Scottish washerwoman, "a comical, round little old woman, as brown as a berry and wears multitude of petticoats".
Beatrix's tame hedgehog, Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, did her duty as a model.
(This information is taken by the original and authorised edition of 'The complete tales of Beatrix Potter').

This project is made from 'The big Peter Rabbit book' which includes things to do, games to play, stories presents to make etc.

A friend is a gift you give yourself

Greetings,
I worked on another miniature project using popsicle sticks. This is a freindship and a tea party theme. It's so much fun to invite a friend for tea or coffee and chat and babble forever. Also, time just flies when you are whopping and guaffaving about something with a dear friend.

I used the wooden beads to make the tea pot and the cups. I used the wooden buttons for the saucers. The vase is again a wooden bead. The loaf of bread is made out of clay.

Overall, I had a great time making this project.

Daffy-down-dilly's little cottage

Greetings,

I was planning to try out a tiny wooden cottage and finally I made one using popsicle sticks. I tried to provide as many details as possible inside the cottage. I made the bed out of popsicle sticks and painted it. Since, the space inside the cottage was limited I just Stuck some stickers to show the details instead of making 3D articles. Even the 2D stickers have given great effect.
I stuck a real tree birch for the tree. Then, I stuck some artificial creepers on the outside of the cottage. The doll is not handmade.

With some handmade things and with some things which were bought, this cottage looks lovely!
Until next....

Some more painted mugs

Greetings,
I painted a few more mugs and a bottle. The milk man from where I buy milk is kind enough to give me a few bottles. I just painted one bottle and it was fun!

The illustration on this above mug is from Mary Engelbreit's 'Mother goose'. The wording is from Charles Dickens vignette.

I painted this above mug to gift one of my coworkers.
