Inspiration please?

Greetings,

I was just imagining this morning that, it's winter and snowing heavily outside, and I am sitting in front of the fire place on a rocking chair, rocking to and fro near the hearth. My cat magster is sitting on my lap and I am feeling his smooth fur and the warmth of his body as I am stroking him gently.
But, in reality, it's neither snowing nor I am sitting in front of the fire place. I am sitting on the swing in my varenda swaying forward and backward all alone without my cat leafing through the pages of these story books to get some inspiration for my next project. What happened to my cat? Where is he? That's the story for another day.
Today I would like to share some pictures of some of my favorite story books, which has beautiful illustrations.
This time I am thinking about bunnies and Beatrix Potter's books are full of bunnies and other woodland animals, one will absolutely fall in love with. Both children and adults can enjoy the tales by Beatrix Potter. I am Lucky to own this book. 'Peter Rabbit' is one of her famous stories.
I have retold the the story through my dolls. If you like to read it you can visit this link http://revathiakshay.blogspot.in/2014/04/peter-rabbit.html
If you like to make your own Peter Rabbit dolls, follow this link. I have made the patterns for these dolls. http://revathiakshay.blogspot.in/2014/04/tales-of-peter-rabbit-knitting-pattern.html
You can also read the story of  'The Tale of Tom Kitten' if you love cats. http://revathiakshay.blogspot.in/2014/05/tale-of-tom-kitten.html
The free pattern for The Tale of Tom kitten is available here: http://revathiakshay.blogspot.in/2014/05/three-little-kittens-mittens-moppet-and.html
Kenneth Grahame's 'The wind in the Willow's' is a lovely book. Inga Moore has illustrated it beautifully! An adventurous story of these woodland folks!
I recently ordered 'Little Grey Rabbit's Christmas' by Alison Uttley from Amazon. This is her first book I am buying and planning to buy a few more books hopefully some time in future. I am yet to read the book, and I know I will love it! It's illustrated by Margaret Tempest! I love the illustrations!
Below are some Racey Help's illustrations. Fantastic illustrations! Unfortunately I don't own any of his books. He has written many children's books and illustrated them himself. Hope to buy some of his books in future. May be someone's out there, can gift me these books 😜😋

So many books to inspire me. Did I get any ideas for my next project? You will find out soon.

Until then,
Revs!

A jolly dolly day!

Greetings!

A new cafe has opened in Joy street! Beautiful outdoor, indoor restaurant and a perfect place to relax!

Since the time mummy heard about this restaurant, she is not at all interested in cooking. She is eagerly waiting for Daddy to get home, so that she can come up with some excuse for not cooking and drag him to this cool place.
Daddy, has already heard about this place and planning to give a big surprise to mummy by taking her out to dine in this heavenly restaurant.
As soon as dad returned home, mum need not make any excuse. He told her to get ready and mum already new where they were going.
Between this little rascal, is all excited to go out to a new place and have a lot of fun!

The cafe is made out of card board. It's a 3 D puzzle. As soon as I saw this I was so excited to buy the puzzle. Then I was so tempted to make these miniature felt dolls. As always I enjoyed making the background and taking the pictures.
I have bought two more 3D puzzles and I have to figure out something for those.
You all have a wonderful day!
Will be back soon 😀!
